Quilting Information/Schedule
We provide quilting classes for all levels of quilters.  Each student must provide their own
materials
(fabric, thread, sewing machine, etc).  Specific information will be provided for
each class, by the instructor.  
If you have any questions, or would like to register for a class, feel free to

we'll be happy to answer you as soon as we can!

Winter/Spring 2010

Classes are held in Synod Hall at:
The Cathedral of Saint John,
271 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02903.  
Free on-street parking is available.

A list, including books and supplies for classes will be provided upon registration.

Please bring your own sewing machine and a bag lunch.  
Coffee, tea and snack will be provided

January 9,2009          Log Cabin  Wall Hanging/Crib Quilt           Level: Beginner
A great introduction to machine quilting, or a "brush-up" for the returning quilter!  
Strip sewing method.

January 30                Lover's Knot Crib/Lap Quilt              Level: Beginner/Intermediate
More intense than the Log Cabin, but still a great quilt to work on.
Strip sewing method.

February 13                Borders and Edges                             Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Come learn to make outstandingly beautiful borders and edges that make your quilts dazzle!

March 13                     54-40 or Fight! Lap Quilt                   Level:  Intermediate
This project will offer practice with geometric shaping in quilting, as you begin to experience the
"optical "illusion" of quilting.

March 27                     Bear's Paw Crib/Lap Quilt                 Level: Intermediate
Learn the art of matching  points in quilting while creating a stunning lap or crib quilt.

April 10                       The Providence Quilt                          Level: Intermediate  
Make the Providence square into a table runner and proudly display it in your home!

May 15                         British Tea Garden Table Runner    Level: Intermediate
Further adventures in piecing and points, but adding in a new sewing method that saves lots of
time and makes a beautiful project!

May 29                         Introduction to Paper Piecing         Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Paper piecing is fun and makes your work picture perfect.  Learn this enjoyable technique as
you discover more of your quilting talent!

June 12                         Pineapple Quilt                                 Level: Intermediate           
The Pineapple, a long time symbol of welcome and hospitality, is showcased in a wonderful
quilted interpretation.  It is done in a strip-sewn method and is sure to be a motif that you will
return to again and again!

June 26                          Americana Table Runner               Level: Intermediate/Advanced
The Americana Table Runner is a multiple-pieced project that requires attention to detail, and
results in a very fine piece of Americana quilting to decorate your home.
